Meet your site hosts! The Virginia Airsoft Force (VAF) was formed in early 2004, out of the Charlottesville/Albermarle Airsoft Project (CAAP). This group of enthusiasts original mission was to promote the quality and quantity of airsoft in the state.
In early 2004, organized airsoft games in VA were few and far between. (Think hundreds of miles, every other month!) A few carpools, fields, telephone calls and years later, things certainly have grown! Along with help from other organizations of that time (such as Virginia Rangers and VTAC) Virginia now boasts an active airsoft scene with many teams, local organizations, and fields.
Although the VAF membership is not as active today, it's not because of lack of interest. Despite real-life commitments, we still get out occasionally and sling some plastic. If you see one of these players at a field or on the forum, be sure to introduce yourself, we're always looking to meet more airsofters interested in gear, games, and overall good times!
